"Grassade in die wind", "Tussen jou en my", "Pennies op die spore"  en "Ma se song" is almal Dozi treffers, maar die man agter die songs is Stef Kruger van Oudtshoorn.

Dit is dieselfde Stef wat gereeld Donderdae  sy kitaar by die rooi klavier in die Kalahari Restaurant en Teater op George gaan tokkel  en self van sy eie skeppings gaan sing.

Uit hierdie bekende liedjieskrywer se pen het al meer as 300 liedjies die lig gesien, waarvan baie van die land se bekende kunstenaars ook opgeneem het. Dozi het reeds 58 van Stef se liedjies opgeneem.

Binnekort verskyn 'n nuwe Dozi CD getitel "Terug by die begin" met 14 nuwe liedjies wat Stef geskryf het.

Stef het ook gehoor gegee aan openbare aanvraag dat hyself van sy bekendste liedjies sing en binnekort sal sy eie CD met die grootste treffers op wat hyself sing, verskyn.

Kom kuier gerus Donderdag vanaf 19:30 saam met Stef en kom luister na gewilde treffers, ou liedjies, nuwes wat nog nooit gepubliseer is nie en kry ook sommer die storie agter die storie van die liedjies direk uit die perd se bek.

Theatre lovers are flocking to the new Kalahari Restaurant and Theatre in George. This 350 seater theatre stages the latest productions as they come off the main circuit.

This welcome addition to the entertainment market caters for the popular as well as more discern theatre goer and music lover. The concept behind the theatre is one of quality entertainment in a pleasant and warm environment. Apart from the theatre the complex also houses a separate bar, with an 11 metre serving surface and a 120 seater family restaurant with an outside deck. A special kiddies section has been added.

A focal point of the restaurant is the grand piano mounted on a circular stage in the restaurant section.  This is also the hot spot where the artists and fans meet after the shows.

The theatre has  tables and chairs positioned on different levels for better viewing. Pre ordered snack platters and pizzas and beverages are available from the restaurant and the bar.

 Theatre goers can  pre-book platters  the day BEFORE the actual  show  pizzas to be served in the theatre.

BUFFETS served on SHOW NIGHTS & SUNDAYS

The restaurant is open daily from Monday to Saturday (08:00 - 23:00)  and Sunday (11:00 - 17:00) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Authentic Kalahari dishes as well as other specialities are on the menu. When the theatre is not scheduled for shows and performances, it will be available as a venue for private functions and conferences.

During the  period  that the restaurant has been open, it has built up a clientele that return on a regular basis to experience with the different dishes. Kalahari Gold ("afval") and Boere caviar (marrowbones served on toast) has already become firm favourites. All the steaks are bought from the award winning butchery Van Rensburgs Foods in George.

"The best pizzas in the Southern Cape" is a phrase that is heard on a frequent basis at the restaurant.

Bookings for shows can be done at the theatre or at Computicket and patrons are urged to pre-order snack platters and pizzas to take into the theatre to enjoy.
